Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Manager-Treasury.

In this role, the successful candidate The Assistant Manager of Treasury will be will be responsible for overseeing cash management, check printing/distribution, collecting/reconciling/depositing all cash and checks for payments received at the Point of Service, managing the couriers that perform the pick-up and delivery services for these payments, performing change requests for all retail areas across the institution, and managing the department deposits across the institution. The Assistant Manager will also be responsibility for performing audits of all of the cash drawers to make sure cash is being stewarded properly.

Job Responsibilities:

Cash Management and Check Printing/Distribution

      • Assist with overseeing operations for the following departmental functions:
        • Oversees other activities such as AP and PR check printing and distribution
        • Prepare and review the daily, weekly and monthly reporting of cash and funding of cash requirements.
        • Ensure that cash is managed properly on a daily basis, including bank funding, transfers, and payments
        • Daily cash report, including daily input from bank statement, research for items and daily analysis of other receipts
        • Process insurance refund checks with remittance advice for direct mailing to payers
        • Liaise with banks, as necessary, with requests and follows ups as necessary related to cash operations
        • Utilize PeopleSoft and other reporting systems to generate reports and analysis related to cash receipts, payments and other cash transactions
        • Perform cash analysis and reconciliations and report out daily cash positioning to management on a daily basis

Cash Drawer Management


      • Design and implement new processes to manage and audit the cash drawers at 300+ FGP practice locations.
      • Provide oversight agreed up with senior management to ensure that the apprioriate controls include checks and balances are in place to ensure that the risk of waste, theft and fraud is minimized over the cash drawers at each site location

Cashiering

      • Assist with overseeing operations for the following departmental functions:
        • Departmental TROC Forms/ JPoint Transactions- review and approve transactions submitted through the JPoint web portal and deposit payments accordingly
        • FGP Patient Cash and Check Deposits- Receive, reconcile and deposit patient payments from the FGP Practices received from the point of service. These payments will come from new deposit processes including remote deposit machines and a new lockbox. Follow up with departments accordingly for any reconciling issues or discrepancies noted
        • Food and Nutrition Cash Deposits- Receive, reconcile and deposit patient payments from the FGP Practices received from the point of service.
        • Courier and Brinks- Coordinate pickup and drop off schedules for check and cash payments for depositing
        • Perform cash analysis and reconciliations and report out daily cash positioning to management on a daily basis

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Analytical skills to examine processing problems and develop reasonable and practical solutions necessary.
A hands-on approach to operations as well as the ability to keep the strategic initiatives in focus.
Ability to operate independently rendering the impartial and unbiased judgments essential to the proper conduct of audits.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree;3 to 5 years of experience in a health care finance, or accounting,or equivalent combination of education and experience.. : Possess leadership and supervisory skills; exercise good judgement in the handling of issues; possess strong analytical skills; and possess a professional approach to dealing with patients and staff. Possess familiarity with on line financial systems and basic desktop publishing capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: A minimum 5 years of similar or related experience
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work onsite (in person) on a regular basis

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $92,658.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
