Planner/Buyer

A growing manufacturing company in Grayslake, IL is looking for a Planner/Buyer to join their 1st shift team. This is DIRECT HIRE!

Requirements of the Planner/Buyer

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 2 years of buying experience

· 4+ years of materials experience

· Knowledge of MRP evaluation

· Understanding of material and cost forecasting and budgeting

· APICS certification preferred

Responsibilities of the Planner/Buyer

· Administer purchase order with vendor to reduce overall cost of facility inputs

· Work with vendor to ensure facility inputs are available when needed, this includes being involved in quality issues

· Enter and evaluate cycle counts with a focus on identifying systemic deficiencies

· Create, monitor, and enhance Kanban systems that are applied to inventory and non-inventory items

· Work with accounting to address any vendor invoicing issues

· MRP evaluation with purchase order and work order generation

Schedule is 1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $70,000 - $78,000 a year, depending on experience
